About Publius
Built for the attorneys who carry every case.
Case intelligence for document-heavy litigation.
Our Mission
Turn the case record into case intelligence.
Solo attorneys and small litigation teams carry their cases personally — every document, every timeline, every fact pattern held in their head or spread across folders, emails, and notes. When a new question comes up, the work starts over: searching, reading, reconciling.
Publius builds a persistent, connected view of the matter. Ask a question and trace the answer to the source document. Follow a witness's account across depositions. Build a timeline from the record, not from memory.
We started Publius because the tools that do this well were built for firms with dedicated litigation support teams and six-figure technology budgets. The attorney who handles intake, discovery, depositions, and trial prep on the same matter deserves the same capability.
Our Values
The principles behind the platform.
01
Source Traceability
Every answer Publius gives links back to the document and passage it came from. Attorneys verify, not trust.
02
Data Stays Yours
Client data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Pursuing SOC 2 compliance with cloud hosting. No data is used for model training.
03
Built for Real Workflow
Publius is designed around how attorneys actually prepare a case — not how a technology company thinks they should.
The Name
Why Publius?
The name Publius comes from the pseudonym used by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay when writing The Federalist Papers — a series of essays that helped shape American democracy.
Like those foundational writings, our platform is designed to strengthen the pillars of justice by making sophisticated legal tools available to all practitioners, not just the privileged few.
We believe that access to powerful legal technology shouldn't be determined by the size of your firm. Every attorney deserves tools that match the complexity of their cases — that's what we're building.
